Everything I Need to Know I Learned From My Heroes! - Teacher Appreciation Display
No doubt about it, Lori Z. over at Mud Pie Studio has decorating super powers! Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week and, being part of the PTA, Lori set out to not only organize awesome activities for students and teachers, but also create some fun and creative displays to honor their very own community superheroes – the vibrant and engaging teachers who shape young minds and lives!
In keeping with the chosen superhero theme, Lori's second display featured handmade superhero logo posters - Superman, Captain America, Batman, Spiderman, etc. Six in total, Lori simply placed the posters side-by-side then paired each one with the printout of an important piece of wisdom that teachers impart on their students each and every day. Adorned with the title, "Everything I Need to Know I Learned From My Heroes", this display is the perfect way to say 'thank you' to the men and women who have committed their time, energies, and resources to the momentous task of engaging, inspiring, and shaping the minds of young people!
Everything I Need to Know I Learned From My Heroes!
- Background: White bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Everything I Need to Know I Learned From My Heroes!"
- Border: None needed.
-
Decoration: Use scrap bulletin board paper or poster board as backgrounds for the superhero logo posters, then add detailing using construction paper. The Captain America and Robin posters are pretty straightforward, they are created from simple shapes and letters, but the others might be a bit trickier. Here are some links to templates that might help...
- Superman Logo Template. We suggest using the 'Coloring Version' - printing it onto red construction paper and cutting it out.
- Wonder Woman Logo Template. Simply print the black and white version onto yellow construction paper.
- Spiderman Eyes Template. While the original tutorial is for a cake, the illustration she provides can be enlarged and used for tracing, or perhaps simply printed onto white paper and the eyes cut out.
- Batman Logo Template. From the same site as the Superman logo - again, we suggest using the 'Coloring Version'.
