How cute is this fortune cookie bulletin board?! Featured by Vicky over at Traditions, Laughter and Happily Ever After, we love that the design offers both a cutesy theme for teacher appreciation as well as an opportunity for students to write about why they appreciate their teacher and say a sincere thank you for all of their hard work.

We Are Fortunate To Have You!

  • Background: Red bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "We Are Fortunate To Have You, _________ [Mrs. Nelson, etc]!"
  • Border: Complimentary black bulletin board border.
  • Decoration: Use this tutorial from Screen Prints BLOG to create paper fortune cookies from light brown construction paper. Cut strips of white paper to fit the cookies, inviting students to write their notes of appreciation on the strips, then fold their 'fortune' and slide it into their cookie. Arrange the finished cookies around the bulletin board. As an added three-dimensional accent, attach the recycled container from a local Chinese restaurant or take-out container purchased from a party supply store to the board, filling the container with tan yarn 'noodles' and a pair of chopsticks. This is sure to add a fun bit of pizzazz!
