We love this St. Patrick's Day themed 'character counts' bulletin board created by Ashley Inks! Not only is the design vibrant and eye-catching, it is also a great way to remind your students of classroom and community core values!

Where Does Your Rainbow Lead?

  • Background: White bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Where Does Your Rainbow Lead?
  • Border: St. Patrick's Day themed trimmer.
  • Decoration: 1) The Rainbow. Freehand or trace a rainbow shape onto white bulletin board paper, using craft paint to color it in, or cut arched strips of bulletin board paper in assorted colors, fitting them together to create a rainbow cutout. [NOTE: If you don't want to create a full arc, consider angling your rainbow shape toward the side edge of the bulletin board where a natural stopping point is created or adding a large cloud cutout to the exposed edge.] Use bulletin board letters or white craft paint to spell out a core value - responsibility, respect, etc. - on each colored strip. 2) The Pot of Gold. Freehand a large cauldron shape onto black bulletin board paper or find a template to enlarge and trace. You'll want to make sure that the pot is the same width as the rainbow cutout, so it will overlap neatly. 3) The Shamrocks. Download a shamrock template, printing the shape onto various shades of green construction paper and arranging the shamrock cutouts around the board. The different shades of green will offer visual interest, but you might also consider playing with sizes.
