We just adore this Halloween bulletin board designed by Michelle, kindergarten teacher and creator of Inspired By Kindergarten. Not only does it provide a cutesy decoration for the upcoming holiday, with the interactive component, the board also provides your kiddos with the opportunity to practice color words and counting by tens! {Or another skill of your choosing!}

Spooky Spiders!

  • Background: Black background paper.
  • Title: "Spooky Spiders!"
  • Border: Spider web border.
  • Decoration: 1) The Spider Webs. Michelle offers the spider web shapes with color word labels for download {for FREE!} at her blog. Download and print the shapes onto white card stock, cut them out, and arrange them around the board.Halloween Bulletin Board Idea 2) The Spiders. Have your students help you create thumbprint spiders using white card stock and ink pads in assorted colors. Have them make a total of ten spiders of each color. When dry, cut the spiders out and place them on the corresponding color web. [NOTE: You might also simply create all the spider bodies out of black ink and have your kiddos draw on legs using different colored markers.] 3) The Halloween Accents. Add Halloween accents as desired. Michelle used Creative Teaching Press' adorable poppin' patterns spooktacular bulletin board set {pictured below}.Halloween Bulletin Board SetWe just love the colors! However, you can also create your own accents with bulletin board paper and craft paint!
