Searching for fun and colorful Halloween displays, we stumbled across this great monster themed board created by LuAnn Neuenschwander of Kindergarten Rocks! Not only will it provide a festive decoration for the upcoming holiday, it's also a great way to offer your little learners a chance to review shapes!

Shape Monster Craft

Rectangles, squares, and circles, OH MY! Grab your construction paper or card stock in assorted colors and create the following...

  • Monster bodies. Medium-sized circles, squares, and rectangles.
  • Monster eyes. Small white ovals and small black circles.
  • Monster teeth. Small black rectangles and small white squares.
  • Monster legs. Medium elongated pink rectangles.
  • Monster feet. Small triangles.
  • Monster hair. Small elongated green rectangles.

Have your kiddos identify and collect craft pieces, using them to assemble a unique shape monster!

Monsters Galore!

  • Title: "Monsters Galore in ___________ [Kindergarten, Room 203, Mrs. Nelson's Class, etc.]!"
  • Border: Halloween or monster themed trimmer.
