Look Who We Caught For Student of the Month! - Halloween Bulletin Board

By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Halloween is right around the corner and, if you haven't made any plans for classroom decor, we're excited to be able to feature some of the great bulletin board ideas that were submitted to our Halloween contest last year! Perhaps you'll be inspired by these colorful themed boards...

Originally created to recognize their school's students of the month, we think this adorable Halloween themed board submitted by Darcy would also look great in the classroom! You and your students can get into the theme by having a fun photo shoot; set up a purple sheet, tablecloth, or scrap of bulletin board paper, have your students wrap themselves up in a piece of decorative spider webbing, and make an 'uh oh' face as they pose for their picture! The resulting photos are sure to be fun to share!

Look Who We Caught!

  • Background: Orange bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Look Who We Caught!"
  • Border: Darcy twisted an orange tinsel garland with a thin black garland featuring bat cutouts (a fun choice for Halloween!), but you could also create a layered look with orange and black sparkle trimmers.
  • Decoration: 1) The Spider Web. Sketch or enlarge and trace a spider web shape directly onto the background paper. Glue white craft yarn to the design to create a 'three-dimensional' effect. When dry, arrange student photos on the web and add spider cutouts that feature student names printed with silver Sharpie marker or a white paint pen.
