Classroom Decoration - When We Learn, We Grow
Contest Submission

How bright and cheery is this board display?!? We love the bright colors, the cute Springy title and the 3-D effect that was created in the way the flowers were placed on the board. Super creative and perfect for adding interest. If you're looking for a fun, inviting display for an open house or registration night, look no further! This idea that was submitted for a bulletin board contest last year is perfect.

When We Learn, We Grow

  • Background: Sky blue bulletin board paper (or if you're using a presentation board, choose sky blue for your color)
  • Title: 1) "When We Learn, We Grow" 2) "Come grow with us at ____________" (printed on white cardstock with a colorful border in English and Spanish).
  • Border: Yellow scalloped trimmer
  • Decoration: 1) Grass - cut blades of grass from green bulletin board paper and line along the bottom of the board. 2) Flowers - Create a flower for each subject (Math, Writing, Science, Literacy, Music, Art) using different color construction paper and different shaped petals. When attaching the petals to the board, attach first in the center of the flower. Then move the outer tip of the petal toward the middle to create the 3-D effect and attach. Finish the flowers with a green stem and petals and by adding a subject to the center of each one. 3) Accents - find cute spring accents like the corner flowers, butterflies, birds and ladybugs at your local dollar or big box store.
