Welcome To The Nest - Back-To-School Door Display
By Kayla • April 3, 2018

This might be the last thing on your mind - seeing as summer has just begun {or is about to begin} for many of you - but we stumbled across this fabulous back-to-school design over at Kindergarten Khronicles and thought it would be a good one for the 'inspiration folder'! The patterned birds are super cute and we love the three-dimensional tree branches!
Welcome To The Nest
- Background: Light blue bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Welcome To _____________ [Mrs. Nelson's, The, etc.] Nest!"
- Border: None needed.
- Decoration: Use brown bulletin board paper to create the tree trunk along one side of the display, then twist/scrunch long scraps of the same paper, arrange them on the trunk/board to look like branches. Use the brown background paper to create a simple nest cutout as well. To create the birds, Anna suggests making a template from a recycled file folder and using it to trace the shape onto scrapbook paper of assorted colors/patterns. We love that, while there aren't a lot of elements, the simple design really catches the eye!
