"Our Little Rays of Sunshine!" Summer Bulletin Board Idea

By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Super simple and festive, this bulletin board design from the infant room teachers of McKinley Early Childhood Center would make a great transition board as you wrap up the last weeks of summer and start preparing for the start of the new year/term!

Our Little Rays of Sunshine!

  • Background: Bright blue bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Our Little Rays of Sunshine!"
  • Border: Complimentary colored/patterned trimmer.
  • Decoration: 1) The Clouds. Use cloud bulletin board paper or cut simple cloud shapes from white bulletin board paper and arrange them around the bulletin board. 2) The Sun. Cut a large circle shape from yellow bulletin board paper, attaching the cutout to the center of the bulletin board. Use scissors to cut long strips of the yellow background paper (each about and inch and a half thick), penning student names onto the strips with black permanent marker, and arranging the finished strips out around the outside of the circle to create 'rays'.
