"Just Keep Swimming!" Ocean Themed Classroom Idea

By Kayla • April 3, 2018

A few years back, we featured the amazing ocean themed classroom of my good friend Lisa Dailey-Mooney. At the time she was a third grade teacher in Ohio. Currently, Lisa teaches kindergarten in Pensacola, Florida, designing graphics for teachers (check them out at Lisa's Little Graphics!) in her spare time, and invited us to check out her new classroom!

The perfect theme for a teacher who truly loves the ocean, Lisa's "Dive Into Kindergarten" and "Recipe For Success" displays are just two of the inspiring displays she created this year. If you're considering an ocean theme, we suggest taking a look at the awesome designs below!

Ocean Themed Back To School Bulletin Board

Lisa has plans to create mini manta rays on which to write student names once she gets her final class list!

Ocean Themed Word Wall Display

The candles probably give it away, but this is the birthday board!

Didn't her classroom turn out great?! What has always amazed us is that Lisa creates all of the elements herself (that's a lot of work!) and we're so excited that she decided to share her talent, providing graphics for other educators through Lisa's Little Graphics! Be sure to check out the graphics she as for sale. If you don't find what you're looking for, she also does custom work!
