April Showers... - Spring Bulletin Board Idea

We don't say it enough, but our Facebook fans are truly fantastic! So many talented individuals willing to share their ideas and inspire others - WOW! Suellen Riggs Stanley recently posted this gorgeous spring bulletin board on our page and we had to pass it along. We absolutely love the 3D elements - check out that umbrella, the gorgeous puffy clouds, and the colorful blooms! While the original design was used in the school entryway to display important PTA information, we're positive the board can be tweaked to fit your needs.
April Showers Bring May Flowers
- Background: Bright blue bulletin board paper.
- Title: "April Showers Bring May Flowers!"
- Border: Solid green trimmer or complimentary patterned border.
- Decoration: 1) The Clouds. Use thick cotton batting or cotton balls {dyed to look grey} to create a 3D rain cloud, attaching it in puffs to the top of the bulletin board. Tie acrylic or crystal raindrop shapes together on long strands of clear fishing line and arrange them under the cloud. 2) The Flowers. Purchase bunches of silk flowers in assorted colors at your local craft store to arrange around the board. We love how Suellen used an umbrella, not only as a prop to compliment the theme, but as a 'planter' for some of the colorful blooms as well!
