While these bulletin boards require foresight (i.e. a dedicated bulletin board put up at the beginning of the school year), they're super cute, offer a fun way to keep track of the days leading up to your 100th day celebration, and will stir up excitement for the event! There are tons of themed ideas to choose from and, since you'll have the board up for half the year, options are always good! Here are a few of our favorite ways to incorporate a "100th day countdown" into your classroom...

This colorfully adorable gumball machine design by Beth Reeve is what we call going all out! A vibrant and fun addition to any early childhood classroom, we know adding a colorful gumball to this display to keep track of the number of days in school will become a favorite part of your students' day! {Don't you just love the three-dimensional streamers?! Such a simple accent, but they really add a festive touch to the board!}
We're Counting 100 Days of School!
Background: Yellow bulletin board paper.
Title: "We're Counting 100 Days of School!"
Border: Red scalloped trimmer.
Decoration: Beth used her personal cutting machine to create the accents. If you don't have access to a machine, we suggest finding a clip art image online that you can use to enlarge and trace {like the image from Sweet Clip Art shown below}.

Trace the image directly onto red, white, and gray bulletin board paper - using markers or craft paint to add shading/detailing. To create the gumballs, either 1) print circle shapes onto construction paper in assorted colors, cut them out, and print numerals onto each accent, 2) purchase adhesive circle labels and use the provided template to print numbers onto them {these are nice because you can simply peel and stick them to the display}, or 3) purchase circle bulletin board accents from your local teacher store and print numerals onto them. Curl pieces of ribbon or paper and attach them around the gumball machine for a fun 3D effect!
If you don't have time to create your own bulletin board, here are some other fun themed boards you might consider...
