Spring and End of the Year Bulletin Board Idea

While this bulletin board display designed by Melissa West was originally created for spring, we think it would also make a brilliant end-of-the-year bulletin board! If you're looking for a fun and colorful 'send-off' for your students - an encouraging reminder that they have made it through the year with flying colors and are now ready for the next level - this bulletin board is just the ticket! Not to mention, while it looks involved, it's actually quite simple to put together!

Soaring To Success!

  • Background: Bright blue bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Soaring To Success!"
  • Border: Spring themed trimmer or multi-colored bulletin board border.
  • Decoration: 1) The Sky-scape. Cut several large cloud shapes from white bulletin board paper, adding them to the top half of the bulletin board. Additionally, create a sun cutout from yellow background paper and place in a top corner. 2) The Hot Air Balloons. Cut sheets of brown construction paper in half, shaping each piece a bit to create the basket - i.e. a trapezoid shape. Print student names onto the baskets, then blow up colorful balloons and attach one to each basket cutout with yarn. Arrange the hot air balloons on the bulletin board!
