For Those Who Truly Believe! - Christmas Bulletin Board Idea
By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Check out this great Christmas bulletin board display created by Heather Gibbs! Inspired by Chris Van Allsburg's Caldecott Medal winner "The Polar Express", we think the colors, mix of textures, and three-dimensional elements are sure to make this a hit with your kiddos!
For Those Who Truly Believe!
- Background: Cover the display space with royal blue background paper.
- Title: "For Those Who Truly Believe!" - We like how Heather set the title (which is also a partial quote from the story) apart. For a similar look, use poster board, bulletin board letters, and a green bulletin board trimmer.
- Border: None needed on the actual display; however adding a complimentary colored/patterned border would also look nice!
- Decoration: In searching for images from "The Polar Express", we found this still from the film and imagine that it was the inspiration for the board. As Heather said, most of the design is pretty self-explanatory; with a vast majority of the elements being made from construction/bulletin board paper. The only elements not made entirely of regular craft paper - 1) The train was created by wrapping blocks in paper, 2) the shiny paper used for the moon and stars, as well as below the Christmas tree was specialty paper (silver wrapping paper or aluminum foil would also work!), and 3) the snow at the bottom of the display was created with cotton balls.
