Bright Students LIGHT UP Our Classroom! - Christmas Bulletin Board Idea

Christmas Lights Themed Bulletin Board Idea

Perfect for adding some fun patterns and colors to your classroom this December, this Christmas light themed bulletin board idea is simple to create (so it won't add a lot of stress to your already busy holiday schedule!) and offers a nice way to recognize your students who liven up your classroom!

[NOTE: While the example includes Christmas light accents on which to write student names, you might also consider using this as a way to display student work. Simply mount papers/projects to colorful construction paper or patterned scrapbook paper creating borders and use smaller light bulb cutouts to label each project!

Bright Students LIGHT UP Our Classroom!

  • Background: Green bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Bright Students LIGHT UP Our Classroom!"
  • Border: Christmas themed trimmer or complimentary patterned border.
  • Decoration: Cut Christmas light accents from assorted colors of construction paper (or even patterned scrapbook paper!), printing a student's name onto each cutout, and arranging them around your board. While the digital design above does not show this option, you might consider using a black permanent marker to draw a long looping line that connects all of the light bulbs - creating a strand of bulbs! If you feel the board needs more substance, as described above, use it to display the work of all of your bright students!
