Invite your new students to celebrate their uniqueness as well as their special part in the learning community with this colorful back-to-school craftivity and bulletin board idea from Kristin over at Little Miss Glamour Goes To Kindergarten. Designed to compliment P.K. Hallinan's Rainbow of Friends, Kristin and her kiddos were reminded that friends come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, and that it takes everyone - with their different interests, skills, and personalities - to create a successful learning environment. We love starting the school year off on such a positive {and colorful!} note!

A Rainbow of Friends

  • Background: Light pink bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "We Are A Rainbow Of Friends!"
  • Border: Rainbow colored trimmer.
  • Decoration: Provide each of your kiddos with a sheet of colored construction paper and, using the template that Kristin provides for FREE on her blog, have them create a self-portrait and fill in the t-shirt cutout with unique facts about themselves. Arrange the colorful portraits on the bulletin board in rainbow order!
