contest submission

Perfect for your school media center or classroom library, we love how this bulletin board, submitted as part of one of our contests, reminds students that if we let books ignite our imaginations, there's no limit to where we can go! The simple design is sure to make this board come together quickly and smoothly, and we think it's great that the 'destinations' can be tailored to fit your classroom reading list or monthly theme!

Where Can Reading Take You?

  • Background: Light blue bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "Where Can Reading Take You?"
  • Border: Complimentary colored/patterned trimmer, cloud border, or reading themed bulletin board border.
  • Decoraton: 1) The Sky. The light blue bulletin board paper does most of the work creating the 'sky' background, but you might add a cloud or two cut from white bulletin board paper to add visual interest. 2) The Directional Sign Posts. Simply cut two long strips of brown bulletin board paper to create the posts, then cut simple pointed sign shapes from the same paper to attach along the post. Finally a destination to each sign using bulletin board letters, paint, diy letters created using word processing software and colored paper, etc. [NOTE: You'll need to choose a medium that will show up on brown paper.]
