We have to be super careful when visiting Cara's blog, The First Grade Parade, because every single one of her posts is littered with fun, colorful, and engaging learning ideas and we want to share them all! Our newest favorite, just in time for Thanksgiving, is this adorable Mayflower writing craftivity! After learning about the pilgrim's journey to the New World {and the fact that they could only bring one trunk of belongings with them!}, Cara invited her kiddos imagine what it would be like to pack a suitcase for the journey, how they would decide what to bring, and make a list of the items they wouldn't want to forget! The glued their lists onto super cute suitcase cutouts and finished the activity by drawing all of the items on their list packed neatly in the suitcase. Adorable, right?!

As we said before, there are so many fabulous learning ideas over at The First Grade Parade! Be sure to check out the full post and take some time to check out all the amazing things Cara and her class are up to!
