Thanksgiving Writing Prompt and Bulletin Board Idea

While purely decorative boards are fun, we love that this bulletin board idea combines a fun writing activity and craft for your students to complete and display during the upcoming holiday season!

The Perfect Thanksgiving Pie Writing Craftivity

Thanksgiving Writing Prompt and Craft

Providing them with the opportunity to work on sequencing as well as writing skills, invite students to describe and illustrate the steps for making the perfect Thanksgiving pie. We created simple prompt pages that students filled in, cut out, pasted onto construction paper circles, and assembled into little booklets.

As an extra twist, the writing prompts were turned into 'pies' before being added to the bulletin board! This was done by adding crumbled orange paper to the bottom of aluminum pie pans, attaching the prompts to the paper, and adding cotton ball 'dollops of whipped cream' to the outside edge.
