Suckers For Love! - Valentine's Day Bulletin Board
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
With the help of her kiddos, preschool teacher, Tiffany Clark, created this fun bulletin board for Valentine's Day! We stumbled across the design on Pinterest and, while we're a fan of the traditional candy themed boards {conversation hearts, Hershey kisses, etc.}, the lollipops offer a fun alternative. The clever title, pops of festive color, and handmade elements make this design a great addition to any early childhood classroom this Valentine's Day!
Suckers for Love!
- Background: Red bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Suckers for Love!"
- Border: Valentine's Day themed trimmer or complimentary solid color border.
- Decoration: 1) The Lollipops. Provide each of your kiddos with a paper plate. To replicate the original board, paint them with tempera paint and corn starch. When dry, the 'lollipops' will have a gloss to them! Finish the cutouts off with a painted dowel rod stick, pictures of each of the students, and name labels - arranging the lollipops around the board. 2) The Love Bugs. Tiffany and her kiddos also created love bugs to help fill the space; decorating a simple construction paper bug cutout with heart stickers. There are loads of love bug crafts floating around the blogosphere that you might wish to fit into your board design or, if you don't have time for a full-on crafting session, here's a simple template from BigActivities.com that would make a nice addition.
