If you don't have time to do a full decoration 'work-up' for the Valentine's Day holiday, consider simply adding to or updating your winter decor like Suzie did over at TeacherTime123! We think her Valentine snowman is great, and all she had to do was add a heart and a cutesy little poem!

Valentine Snowman Bulletin Board

  • Background: Black bulletin board paper.
  • Title: Visit teachertime123 to get a copy of the poem! Script the rhyme onto a piece of poster board or use your computer to create and print a poster of the poem.
  • Border: Use a solid or patterned border in a complimentary color or a Valentine's Day themed border!
  • Decoration: Have your students help you fold and cut snowflakes from white drawing or printer paper. Use these unique cutouts to form the snowman. From construction paper of various colors {or scraps of background paper for larger items}, create a hat, scarf, and gloves, as well as a face for the snowman. Finally {and simply!}, to give it a Valentine 'flair', add a heart cutout to the snowman's chest.
