Mrs. Ward, first grade teacher and blogger at Wards Way of Teaching, created this adorable bulletin board that could {awesomely!} double as both a 100th day and Valentine's Day decoration - in the event you're interested in getting extra mileage out of your hard work, of course! A great exercise for building community and starting the year off on a positive note, invite your students to work together to come up with one hundred reasons why they love their school, their grade, and their class. It may seem like a lofty goal to reach, but we're certain they'll be able to do it!

100 Reasons...

  • Background: Black bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "100 Reasons Why We Love Our School..."
  • Border: Complimentary patterned trimmer.
  • Decoration: Create a heart template, using it to trace and cut accents from pink, white, purple, and red construction paper or find a black and white clip art heart to print directly onto the paper and cut out. Have your students use a thin black marker to write what they love onto the cutouts then arrange the accents on the board - so that, together, they create the numeral 100.
