Wall of Peace for Our Veterans
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
Laura, educator and blogger over at ReadLearnTeachLife, spearheaded this project and, working with the other teachers at her school, had every student create a brick for this amazing tribute wall honoring the servicemen and women, past and present, who have sacrificed their time, service, and (in some cases) lives to defend and protect our country. On their bricks, students reflected on what freedom means to them and how thankful they are for our veterans. Displayed in the hallway, we think this was such a special way to honor the veterans of their community!
Wall of Peace for Our Veterans
- Background: White bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Wall of Peace for Our Veterans"
- Border: Patriotic themed trimmer.
- Decoration: Use red, white, and blue construction paper as the "bricks" for your wall. Have students select a sheet of paper, glue their writing prompts and drawings onto it, and add it to the board.
