These fantastically adorable "treasure chests" from Martha Stewart offer a great summer craft for your eager kiddos! By varying box and paper sizes, you can...

  • Use one to display your child's collections - stamps, buttons, trading cards, greeting/birthday cards, etc.
  • Create learning chests, filling the accordion pages with themed flash cards {i.e. "The ABCs of Transportation"}, number cards for counting, ABC cards, etc.
  • Design a unique art, nature, or writing journal by pasting blank sheets of writing, graph, and bordered paper to the accordion pages.

There are so many possibilities, so get to work unearthing those empty boxes in your spare closet, get those imaginations working, and get to creating!
