Patriotic Memorial Day Preschool Lesson Plan

This patriotic flag exercise, created by Mandy Pratt over at TeacherLINK @ Utah State University, would make a great addition to you Memorial Day lesson plans. While your preschoolers may have seen this important symbol around the classroom, school, and community, they may not understand exactly what it stands for. In a fun puzzle format, students learn what each of the colors represents as they assemble their own American flag, then practice patterning and counting with several fun math applications/extensions!

For the full lesson plan idea - including a supply list and miniature lecture, as well as a feedback and evaluation sections - be sure to visit TeacherLINK!
