We're always on the lookout for new ways to use ordinary, inexpensive supplies in the classroom, so when we stumbled upon these craft stick center ideas created by Reagan over at Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits, we were delighted! Not only are these centers simple to make, they're also a hit with the kiddos! As Reagan relays, "my sight word stick centers are the most requested centers I have had all year!"

Focusing on sight words, Reagan used a permanent marker to print a focus word onto each craft stick then placed the sticks into recycled cans {decorated with cute paper + labels, of course!}, creating several sets of sight word craft sticks. Then, she created various worksheets to use with the craft sticks - ABC order, simple sentences, etc. We love that these centers can be used again and again since the sight word combinations are sure to be unique each and every time!

For a better look at the activities Reagan put together and lots of other fabulous lesson ideas, be sure to visit Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits!
