Science Experiment - Volcano in a Cup
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
While we think this would be a great experiment to try at any point in the year, with schedule uncertainties and limited student attention spans leading up to summer break, we think this could be a fun and engaging end-of-the-year exercise! We found this volcano in a cup experiment over a 1-Art.eu and, if you can figure out the logistics, we just know your kinders will want to see it again and again!
Supplies You'll Need
- Fireproof glass container
- Wax
- Sand
- Cold water
- Heat source
This is a great way to introduce new vocabulary - magma, lava, crater, volcanic ash, etc. - and reinforce other concepts learned throughout the year {i.e. the Earth's layers}, while having fun!
For the full experiment, be sure to visit 1-Art.eu!
