School Supplies Writing Helper
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
It is almost officially August! If you're getting your back-to-school centers ready, be sure to include this cute school supplies printable from Laura of Peace, Love & First Grade {via Classroom Freebies Too}. Not only is it a great vocabulary booster, but pairing images of the school supplies they've been collecting over the past weeks with the supply names will help improve reading comprehension as well! Here are a few suggestions for use...
- Use them as flash cards for learning new vocabulary words.
- Provide each student with a printout for their writing binder or place a laminated copy in the writing center to help students compose stories/journal entries about getting ready for school.
- Print two copies, cutting out the cards and using them to play back-to-school themed games - i.e. Concentration, Go Fish!, etc.
- Provide students with alphabet practice, inviting students to place the cards in ABC order.
Be sure to head over to Classroom Freebies Too for this cutesy download!
