Rhyming Snowballs
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
Oh, what fun it is to...bring winter indoors! The time is coming when outdoor play may not be an option, so bring some of the fun inside with this adorable activity from Amber Osterman of Kindergarten Rocks! Think of an indoor snow ball fight...but a toned down version, of course!
Assembling the activity...
- Crunch white computer paper into a loose ball
- Brainstorm a list of rhyming pairs {i.e. pail/sail, vest/nest, etc.}
- Find and print thumbnail pictures of each item on the list
- Tape an image to each paper ball
Now you're ready to play! Simply toss the newly created "snowballs" into the air and set your kiddos loose, instructing them to pick up a snowball and find the classmate who holds the other part of the rhyming pair displayed. This game can be played over and over...we guarantee your students will love it!
