We love this fall "cooking with nature" activity from Sun Hats & Wellie Boots! It's a great way for your kiddos to explore texture and smell, while developing gross motor and measuring skills. Here's what you'll need...

  • An assortment of {fall inspired} natural elements - acorns, pine cones, colored leaves, nuts, fresh herbs, pumpkin seeds, etc.
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Large wooden spoon
  • Various small bowls for sorting, grinding, etc.
  • Various cookie sheets and baking pans

Set up a nature cooking station, inviting your kiddos to mix up some autumn concoctions! You might even set out an assortment of recipe books for your students to sift through as an extra "pretend play" element. Your little ones are sure to have a great time exploring and "baking"!
