Perfect for practicing sight words, February themed vocabulary, rhyming pairs, word families, and more - this Valentine's Day themed game from Kristina over at Toddler Approved would make a great addition to your holiday plans/small group reading center! The exercise is simple; print the focus sight words, word families, etc. onto construction paper heart cutouts. Spread the hearts around the table and have students use toy cars to identify sight words that are called out, all the words belonging to a certain word family, etc. by driving them from cutout to cutout.

Kristina has lots of game variations over at Toddler Approved, so be sure to check out the full post!
