This fun activity from Better Homes & Gardens has been floating all over Pinterest and we thought it would make a fun literacy center for Valentine's Day! Stock plenty of secret message hearts in the literacy center, inviting your students to uncover the messages - a focus sight word, an upper and/or lower case letter, a shape, or another concept of study. Once the message has been revealed, have your students identify the word, letter, shape, etc., then record their find on a worksheet.

When they've completed the activity, uncovering a specified number of messages, invite your kiddos to create their own secret messages for parents, siblings, classmates, and friends. We're certain your preschoolers will have a blast with this activity!
