New Year, Clean Slate! - New Years Bulletin Board Idea
Cassandra Garza posted this fun bulletin board design several weeks ago and we think it would make a fantastic addition to your classroom decor for the new year! With themes perfect for the classroom as well as the New Years holiday, we love how the inspirational message reminds your students that it's never too late for improvement! A product of our choices, the return from winter break offers a great opportunity to encourage your students to take advantage of the 'fresh start'!
New Year, Clean Slate!
- Background: Emerald green bulletin board paper.
- Title: "New Year, Clean Slate!"
- Border: Black wavy trimmer or chalkboard themed bulletin board border.
- Decoration: Create a chalkboard cutout to place in the center of the bulletin board; cutting a medium-sized rectangle from black bulletin board paper and mounting it onto a slightly larger rectangle cut from light brown bulletin board paper to create a 1-inch border. Add a piece of 'chalk' cut from white construction paper. Repeat the process on a smaller scale, using black and white construction paper, to create a 'miniature chalkboard' for each student in the class. Print a student's name onto each mini board and arrange around the bulletin board.
[NOTE: You might consider covering the bulletin board in white bulletin board paper, so that you can use green construction paper on the miniature chalkboards for a more 'realistic' chalkboard feel! However, as is, they mimic dry erase/white boards which works too!]
