Launching A Colorful New Year!
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
This bulletin board idea from Mrs. Drake of Hummingbird Educational Resources would work well for both a back-to-school or New Years theme! We love opportunities for displaying student photos and the clusters of actual balloons make for a fabulous 3D effect!
Balloon Photo Shoot
Hang a piece of sky blue bulletin board paper as a backdrop, then take pictures of your student as they pretend to be lifted into the air by the large bunch of balloons they're holding onto. Print 4" x 6" prints of the pictures {cropping if necessary} to use when decorating your board.
Launching A Colorful New Year
- Background: Sky blue bulletin board paper.
- Title: "Launching A Colorful New Year!"
- Border: Complimentary solid color trimmer.
- Decoration: 1) The Sky. Create clouds from white bulletin board paper or card stock, arranging these around the bulletin board. 2) The Balloons. Position all of the printed pictures around the board, using a black marker or pieces of black yarn to create the bunch of balloon strings each student is holding on to. Inflate regular party balloons {so that they have a diameter of about 2" or so}, clustering them above the strings/pictures to make it look like the kiddos are 'flying away'!
