The first activity is a cute roll, count, and cover math game that we found over at The Preschool Tool Box. Memorial Day is a day that we get together with family and friends to remember the many men and women who have fought and died to protect our liberties - and, because the American flag is one of the important symbols of that freedom, Darla and Tracy tied this activity together with a flag theme. Provided with red and blue flag cutouts, each with a numeral printed on it, students are invited to roll two game dice, count the number of dots displayed, then find and cover the matching flag.

The best part about this activity is that Darla and Tracy provide the flag printables for FREE over at their blog, so be sure to visit The Preschool Tool Box and snag a copy for your math center!
