Literacy Center Activity - Word Fun!
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
Catherine over at Momma's Fun World came up with this cute tracing activity to help her son with letter recognition, letter formation, and word recognition! We love how simple this activity is to put together, using items from around the classroom or house, and think it offers a great opportunity to show your kiddos how objects can be recycled and repurposed for a different use!
Ideas for tracing...
- Glitter glue pens {as suggested by Catherine}
- School glue topped with colored sugar, sand, glitter, etc.
- Paint brush pens
- Chalk {also suggested by Catherine}
- Other supplies from your art closet - crayons, colored pencils, or markers!
Activity Extension
Before tracing, and for some extra practice, consider providing your kiddos with play dough, wikki stix, yarn pieces, etc. and inviting them to use the material to form the letters!
