Candy Bar Get-to-Know You Game
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
Here's a fun first day of school game to play with your kiddos! It's super simple, but is a great way to get to know your kinders. {And we're certain they'll love the unexpected treats!}
Collect several types of candy bars/candy - i.e. Starburst candies, Hershey kisses, mini Snickers, etc. Assign a different question to each candy...
- What is your favorite color?
- How many siblings do you have?
- What is your favorite summer activity?
- Do you have a favorite book? What is it?
- What are you looking forward to most this school year?
- What is your favorite movie?
- If you could do any job when you grow up, what would it be?
To play, mix all the different candies together in a large bowl. Invite your new students to sit in a circle, passing the bowl around and instructing them to select two pieces. After each child has had a chance to pick, have each student answer the questions that correlate with the candies they've chosen. After they've answered, allow them to eat their treats!
