Alphabet Gardens & Watering Cans

Summer Outdoor Literacy Preschool Lesson Plan

Fresh air, sidewalk chalk, watering cans, and literacy - we can't think of a better combination! While perusing Pinterest for fun summer learning activities, we stumbled across this fabulous alphabet garden exercise from the lovely ladies, Kristina and E.J., of Toddler Approved. It's sure to be a fast favorite with the kiddos!

What we love is that it can be tailored to fit your kiddos' learning goals - strengthening letter and/or numeral recognition, building sight word recognition, reviewing shapes or colors, practicing math facts, whatever you need! {And, one thing we didn't think about, is the fine motor concentration and control pouring water from the watering can helps to develop!}
