Melanie Crownover, creator of ewe hooo! and talented parent volunteer at Blankner K-8 in Orlando, created this brilliant bulletin board for the beginning of the school year. Isn't it fantastic?! We love how she used school supplies to create the design - and think this could be a fun board for any time during the school year!

"Sharpen Your Minds!" Bulletin Board

  • Background: Cover the board with blank sheets of notebook paper.
  • Title: "Sharpen Your Minds!" - How awesome are Melanie's pencil letters?!
  • Border: Complimentary solid color trimmer or patterned border.
  • Decoration: Add to the motivational message with a wipe-off notebook paper poster. For the beginning of the year, Melanie added the message, "School is in session!", but you could tailor the sign to fit your theme/needs. Perhaps you might write a different tip for scholastic success each week {rewarding students at the end of the month or grading period who copied all of the tips down?} or even use the space to keep students in the loop about ACT, SAT, and state testing.
