Johnny Appleseed Day is coming up on September 26th and, to help your preschoolers get in the spirit of the day, we found some fun printable activities over at Peace, Love and Learning! The activities would make a great addition to your writing and math centers...

Johnny Appleseed was...

The first freebie Donna offers is a descriptive writing exercise. For younger students, Donna highly suggests first doing the activity as a class, creating an anchor chart, and then inviting your kiddos to fill their graphic organizers with the descriptive words talked about as a class.

[NOTE: For your kinders, you might create word cards to cut out or stickers of the words discussed. Additionally, you might consider using a simple paint program to add traceable describing words to the printable!]
