Hiskia, mother and guest blogger at Bloesem Kids, designed these fantastic {customizable!} alphabet flash cards that would make an ideal compliment to any subject, unit, or lesson! Just download the file, select and place your own photos or clip art images onto the cards, print, cut, laminate, and start learning!

ABC Flash Card Applications

  • Perfect for new and transfer students, create a set of classroom ABCsto tell students where important stations, papers, supplies, etc. are around the room.
  • Create a set of student-inspired ABCs. Assign each student a letter and invite them to brainstorm an object that starts with this letter. Have a classroom photo shoot, taking pictures of students with their alphabet items to use when constructing the cards.
  • Design various sets of unit ABCs {i.e. transportation, construction, community helpers, weather, space, etc.}. For example, when putting together a set of transportation cards, you might start with - A is for airplane, B is for bicycle, C is for car, D is for dump truck, etc.
  • Create a set of sight word ABCs where each letter corresponds with a different common sight word (i.e. A is for an, B is for be, C is for can, etc.).

Be sure to head on over to Bloesem Kids for the download and start the fun process of customizing your classroom learning aids.
