Winter Mitten Themed Number Word Match
By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Caitlin of Ms. Preppy created these adorable mitten math center worksheets that will help your kiddos practice numeral identification and number word recognition for numbers one through ten. As is, we know your students will have a great time building early math and literacy skills, but here are a few extensions you might consider...
- Add a color/counting component. Create a key where each number corresponds with a different color. Consider creating counting mittens {like the example below} and invite students to count, find the appropriate numeral and number word, and color the mittens the same color.
Example color/counting key - Add a fine motor component. Instead of simple markers or pencils, invite your students to match the mittens using drip glue and iridescent glitter/fake craft snow. Squeezing the glue bottles is a great fine motor builder and what preschooler doesn't like using glitter?!
These are just a few ideas for using these worksheets! Not matter how you incorporate them into your kiddos' learning, we know they'll have fun with the activity!
