We recently stumbled across this awesome weather unit created by Beth of 123 Homeschool 4 Me and thought the activities would make a wonderful addition to your spring and/or weather lessons! While the packet was created for students age 3 through 9, there are exercises tailored specifically for preschoolers that explore various skills...

  • Letter formation
  • Handwriting
  • Sorting
  • Numeral recognition
  • Counting
  • Size sequencing
  • Beginning letter sounds
  • Visual discrimination
  • Color recognition
  • And so much more!

Our favorite activity? The rainbow counting game {pictured above}! Students take turns rolling the game dice, counting/adding the number of dots displayed, and covering the appropriate numeral on their colorful game board. The first student who covers all their numbers, wins!

Beth offers this fantastic weather unit, and lots of other great resources, for FREE at her blog - so be sure to visit 123 Homeschool 4 Me for the download!
