Dee of Over the MoonBow is offering this fabulous printable game {specifically for St. Patrick's Day} for FREE at her blog and we think it's a fun, festive way of providing your kiddos with numeral recognition and ordering practice over the holiday! Recommended for small or larger groups, here's the gist...

Using one of the number lines provided, one player mentally selects a "secret number". Classmates then take turns guessing which numeral they think it is and, after each guess, the player tells them whether the number guessed is right on, too high, or too low. Dee provides cutesy clip art cutouts that can be moved along the number lines as students make their guesses. The classmate to either guess the number outright or "squeeze" the number between the cutouts wins and gets to select the next secret number!

We know your students will have a blast with this number game! Be sure to visit Over the MoonBow for the free download - and, while you're there, take some time to look around. Dee offers tons of great resources for the early childhood classroom!
