Sorting Trash - Earth Day Recycling Activity
By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Happy Earth Day!
Perfect for any grade, this sorting activity from Valerie of All Students Can Shine is the perfect exercise to help your kiddos practice what they've learned about recycling! As they use their scissors to cut the pictures they'll be honing fine motor skills and, as they discern which column to glue each picture in, they'll have to pull upon their newly gained knowledge of household items that can be recycled and repurposed!
If you're thinking about setting up a center for students to complete as their leisure, you might consider setting the worksheet out on a cookie sheet and attaching magnets to the back of the picture tiles. Your kiddos will have a blast manipulating the magnets!
