We're big fans of worksheet that can be used to review various skills. Here's a fantastic example of a multi-skill printable from Carisa of 1+1+1=1. With it, your preschoolers can review colors, shapes, and counting! And the snowman theme makes it a great addition to any winter curriculum...

We suggest printing and laminating both the snowman activity mat and the 'button' manipulatives to reduce wear and tear. To play, simply invite your preschoolers to decorate the snowman with their choice of buttons, then identify the colors and shapes represented, as well as how many buttons the snowman has. Have them clear the mat and repeat the process.

Consider having your kiddos record their combinations in their math journals - drawing the snowman, as well as the shaped/colored buttons, and recording the results. You might also simply provide them with a journal insert {like the one below} on which to record the activity results...
