Patriotic Symbols! - Independence Day Bulletin Board

By Kayla • April 3, 2018

Patriotic Bulletin Board IdeaThe busy summer months do not always allow time for decorating, but if you're looking for a simple way to add a little patriotic fun to your walls as well as a provide a deeper social studies connection to the upcoming holiday, you might consider putting together a display of patriotic symbols to compliment your Independence Day learning plans! The above mock-up features Trend Enterprises' patriotic symbols bulletin board set, highlighting eleven important patriotic symbols...

  • The American Bald Eagle
  • The Liberty Bell
  • The United States Flag
  • The Statue of Liberty
  • The Capitol Building
  • The Monuments of Washington D.C.
  • The Declaration of Independence
  • Arlington National Cemetary
  • The Great Seal of the United States
  • The Star Spangled Banner
  • Voting on Election Day

However, you could also pick and choose which symbols you wish to include, making your own cutouts and creating a more focused approach to your holiday study of patriotic symbols. If you plan to create your own cutouts, we suggest finding clip art images/photos online that can be enlarged and traced onto background paper using your classroom projector system or, of course, you could always try to find pictures that can be enlarged, printed onto poster size paper, and laminated for durability. However you decide to put the board together, we love that the board is colorful and doubles as a teaching tool!
