Patriotic Writing Activity and Bulletin Board Idea

Great for any patriotic holiday, this colorful bulletin board is designed around an activity that will get your students thinking about the characteristics of a good citizen and invites them to pledge to demonstrate good character in and out of the classroom!

Writing Prompt Printables

Taking their pledge a step further, have your students write and/or illustrate ways in which they can show good character. Here are two free writing paper printables to use!

I Pledge To Have Good Character!

  • Background: Red bulletin board paper.
  • Title: "I Pledge To Have Good Character!"
  • Border: Patriotic themed trimmer.
  • Decoration: If using the scroll shaped writing paper printable, we suggest printing them onto tan construction paper and, once they're filled out, simply arranging the cut out scrolls around the bulletin board. If using the other printable, mount the colored/filled in pages onto construction paper before arranging around the board.
