Paper Plate Pumpkin Shaker Craft!
By Kayla • April 3, 2018
Here's a simple pumpkin craft that's perfect for fall and your little crafters! We found it over at Almost Unschoolers and loved that they used pumpkin seeds to create their pumpkin shakers!
Materials
paper bowls
orange tissue paper cut into small squares
craft glue
kids paint brush
green construction paper
pumpkin seeds
stapler
Creating the Pumpkin Shakers
Start by having your kiddos collage the outside of the paper bowls with the squares of orange tissue paper. We suggest putting craft glue into shallow bowls, having students use a paint brush to brush a thin layer of glue over the paper bowls, and then lay the pieces of tissue paper over the wet glue.
Once dry, have students cut two stems from green construction paper, gluing a stem on each of their collaged 'pumpkins'.
Finally, invite students to add a handful of pumpkin seeds to one of the bowls, then staple the second bowl over top and - voila!
