Supplies You'll Need

  • Card stock in assorted colors
  • Yarn

Create pocket shaped booklets for each of your students, sending them home with the following instructions:

Have your parents help you choose a favorite family poem. Working together, write the poem in your booklet, finding clip art or using your drawing skills to illustrate it. Bring you 'Poem in my Pocket' booklet back on April 26th to share with the class!

National Poetry Month Preschool Lesson PlanWhen finished, display the booklets in the classroom and hallway for peers, parents, and teachers to enjoy!
